Wild Blue Waters was designed for couples seeking a truly private Hawai‘i wedding venue — one where the entire property, from the black lava cliffs to the tropical gardens and four-bedroom villa, belongs exclusively to your celebration. There are no shared spaces, no overlapping events, no banquet-hall rules.
Set in the Puna district of Hawai‘i Island, roughly forty minutes from Hilo International Airport, the estate offers rare privacy while remaining accessible to your destination guests. First light on the cliffs
The Pacific turns from ink to pewter to gold. The estate faces due east — sunrise arrives directly out of the water, and it belongs to whoever is awake for it.
Late morning
Two suites, two rhythms
Hair, makeup, and quiet music unfold in the villa's bridal suite. Down the hall, the groomsmen's lounge stays lower-key — coffee, a slow breakfast, ocean out every window.
Golden hour
Vows above the Pacific
Most ceremonies land within the ninety minutes before sunset. The cliffs face open ocean, so the light is soft and directional — kind to every face, kind to every camera.
Blue hour
Cocktails at the ocean-view bar
Guests drift from cliffside to bar as the sky moves through peach and violet. Tiki torches come up. The trade winds usually settle just as the toasts begin.
Sunset onward
Dinner on the lawn
Seated, family-style, or under a soft-lit tent — the reception lawn has hosted them all. Palms, ocean, and open sky as the room. The stars come out about twenty minutes after the last speech.

Jacuzzi, quiet, no goodbyes

East-side rain is usually brief and dramatic. Every wedding gets a written rain plan and covered ceremony backup — many of the estate's most-remembered ceremonies happened right after a passing shower.
